12 years ago this September I started teaching in Brooklyn, NY.
Alas, that was not to last…but it was all good! While I did my field education for my second Master’s degree I had some time to really pray and figure out who I am. And then I dove back into teaching. Reluctantly, I might add.
That’s when I started this blog! But I knew very little about blogs, so I have had two false starts during the last two summers and in the meantime, I graduated! Yay!
Then I came back here and started using this space to share my insights and e-fellowship with other teachers. Teaching in Queens was quite different from Brooklyn, but to anyone else, it just might all be the same “New York City.” I promise you it is not. Even so, this city girl is still learning tons do as I enter year four of my second teaching career reboot.
Now I'm teaching middle school special education English Language Arts in the Bronx and I am starting my PhD. Still single too. In case anyone was wondering.
